Acceptance
By accessing or using FlareSight ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and FlareSight.
The Service
FlareSight provides access to aggregated startup funding data sourced from public records, including SEC EDGAR filings. The Service is intended for research, investment analysis, and business development purposes.
Data on FlareSight is derived from public sources and is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Do not rely solely on FlareSight data for investment decisions.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@flaresight.org if you suspect unauthorized access.
One account per person. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. All fees are in USD and are non-refundable except where required by law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from FlareSight without written permission
- Resell or redistribute FlareSight data to third parties
- Use the Service to harass, stalk, or target individuals
- Attempt to circumvent access controls or rate limits
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Impersonate any person or entity
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.
Intellectual property
The FlareSight platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by FlareSight and protected by copyright. You may not copy or reproduce any part of the platform without written permission.
Underlying company data is sourced from public records and is not our proprietary data. We make no ownership claims over publicly available information.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate or complete. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlareSight shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
